Australia's Biosecurity Experts Strengthen Skills in Professional Development Week

Dave Owens recently collaborated with Dr. Sarah Britton from One Biosecurity Solutions and Jackie Poyser from Three60 Consulting to facilitate the National Biosecurity Response Team's (NBRT) Professional Development Week. The program brought together animal and plant specialists from across Australia's nine jurisdictions to enhance their emergency management capabilities.

These specialists, who can be deployed to support outbreak responses nationwide, engaged in practical scenarios designed to build leadership skills. Owens noted the group's exceptional engagement throughout the training exercises.

The week provided valuable networking opportunities for the group, strengthening the cross-jurisdictional relationships that become essential during actual biosecurity emergencies.
